This academic year the European Commission has once again proposed the YOUNG TRANSLATORS competition in which all the countries of the European Union participate. This competition rewards the best young translators in the European Union, being able to choose the language pair of our choice. On November 25th, our 2nd Bach students Sara, Marcos, Sofía and María have translated texts from English to Spanish. The results will be published in February. The winner from each country will be invited by the European Commission in Brussels to collect their prize.
This exercise has allowed the students to see how complex a translation can be and how difficult it is to interpret. In addition, participating in a European project allows us to spread a European dimension to the students that we consider very important and so that they are aware that they are also actors and citizens of that ambitious project that is the European Union.
