The little ones of Early Years 3 are becoming more aware of their fears, especially of the dark. So we got into talking about the things that scare us, the physical sensations we feel, and how we can combat some of them.
We have loved the story The blanket that HUGS because we have understood that, with fear, we feel drums in our chests and a washing machine in our guts. Of course, with a blanket that HUGS me, a stuffed animal and a small light, I feel much calmer☺.
After reading the story and acting it out as real actors, we “protected” ourselves from fear with our “blankets”, our teddy bears and some small lights that banished bad dreams.
There is nothing to fear anymore!
