Swimming is known as an activity that consists of moving from one place to another through the aquatic environment, being considered a skill that must be learned, in addition to being a worldwide sports discipline due to its variety of styles and categories. But, why is value given in the teaching of this discipline through play and especially in childhood ages?
The game is a very productive teaching strategy and used as a pedagogical method with which it is possible to achieve the different objectives of this sport and even to develop essential aspects in the child’s life.
In the educational field, the game fulfills a very fundamental role, because it allows teachers to create an interactive and fun environment, applying teaching methods with a playful, participatory and inclusive nature, therefore, the importance of children’s swimming.
The basic qualities of swimming are buoyancy, immersion, breathing, and locomotion. In addition to ensuring that the child shows security and confidence in the water, but when at this stage you work through play, it is quite easy to achieve the objectives. Playing in the water is a lot of fun and as the child progresses, it is more motivating.
