LAUDE FONTENEBRO SCHOOL INVOLVED IN STEAM CT Erasmus+ Project

From 5th to 9th November, Mike West and Alicia Alonso de Leciñana attended  a three-day Kick-off meeting for the STEAM-CT Project in Brugges. This project is an Erasmus+ Project from the European Commission in which 9 schools and universities from Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Portugal, Italy and Spain will work together for the next three years. Teaching and learning Computational Thinking skills by integrating the learning of these skills within real life STEAM contexts is the aim of this project.

Four main intellectual outputs are expected from this project:

  • Creation of a didactical model that allows and facilitates the learning of computational thinking integrated in STEAM -which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math-
  • The creation of an evaluation tool
  • A good practice repository with up to 20 STEAM-CT projects to be implemented in different age ranges (from 3 to 14) based on real contexts.
  • A web platform with e-learning courses for teachers.
