THE FIRST ENGLISH CONTEST FOR SCHOOLS

THE BIG CHALLENGE – THE FIRST ENGLISH CONTEST FOR SCHOOLS

In May our Year 10 students took part in The Big Challenge Competition, which was held on the same day across Europe, including Germany, Austria, France, Sweden and Holland, among others, and a total of 6,010 schools participated. The quiz covered a wide range of topics from grammar and vocabulary, to cultural aspects of the language from the corresponding English-speaking countries.

We are very proud to announce that our students did very well, indeed. In fact, seven of them got more than 300 out of 350 points, and they are Olga Perez, Mateo Martín, Ana Grande, Alejandro Larrea, Patricia Reques, Patricia Almendres and Inés La Cruz. Olga Perez deserves a special mention as she came in third place in Madrid, and nineteenth place overall in Spain.

Congratulations to all who participated, and to the teachers for encouraging our students to take part in academic events such as The Big Challenge.
